Bill Daley, former White House chief of staff under President Barack Obama and ex-Commerce Secretary during the Clinton administration, has entered the digital asset space as a partner at Forteus, the asset-management division of Numeus Group. The move signals growing institutional interest as Washington’s stance on crypto softens.

Daley’s extensive experience bridging Wall Street and government positions him to attract major investors to Forteus, which manages over $130 million in assets. The firm was founded in 2021 by Two Sigma veteran Nobel Gulati.

The appointment comes amid renewed momentum for the crypto industry, fueled by recent regulatory developments and political efforts to establish the U.S. as a global hub for digital assets.
